Many people with disabilities carry a lot of stress, frustration and depression around how a disability can affect their lives. Ultimately these feelings can translate to aggression, self injurious, destructive and disruptive behaviors. 

With all these variables their sense of purpose may be impacted, or there can be a decrease in self esteem. Mindfulness practices focused on attention and awareness have proven to have positive effects on mental as well as physical well being. 

Core Connections' highly trained instructors have implemented successful modules utilizing mindfulness techniques to help people with disabilities process these feelings in a more healthy manner. In addition, our instructors have experience working with disabled individuals having the capacity to adjust training methods to meet a wide variety of learning needs.
